Complete Form 1 (Application) online or by mail within 1 year of the incident. Describe the discrimination, identify protected ground, name respondents, and describe remedies sought.
What happens after filing an HRTO application?
HRTO serves respondent (35 days to respond), then mediation is offered. If not resolved, the case proceeds to hearing. Many cases settle through mediation.
What remedies can the HRTO award?
Monetary compensation for lost wages and dignity injury, policy changes, required training, reinstatement. We pursue maximum appropriate remedies.
Can I file anonymously with the HRTO?
