Can my landlord lock me out?
Absolutely not. Illegal lockouts are a serious offence. If this happens, call the police and file a T2 application at the LTB immediately.
Do I have to leave when the notice expires?
No. An eviction notice is not an eviction order. Only the LTB can order an eviction, and only a Sheriff can enforce it. Never leave just because you received a notice.
