What if the debtor has no money or assets?
This is called being "judgment proof." The judgment remains valid for 6 years (renewable), so you can attempt collection later if their situation changes.
How much does it cost to enforce a judgment?
Enforcement costs (filing fees, sheriff fees) are generally added to the amount the debtor owes. Your paralegal fees for the enforcement process are separate.
Can I garnish someone's wages without their employer knowing why?
The employer will know a garnishment is in place but not the details of the case. They are legally required to comply with the garnishment order.
