Does Legal Assist accept student placements?
Yes, we accept placements from accredited Ontario college Paralegal, Law Clerk, and Legal Assistant programs. Our program provides hands-on experience with real client files under direct supervision.
Is the student placement paid?
No, this is an educational field placement where students earn academic credit. However, students who demonstrate exceptional performance may be considered for paid positions after graduation and licensing.
What is the application process for a student placement?
Submit a cover letter, resume, unofficial transcript, program coordinator letter, two references, and a writing sample. Shortlisted candidates complete an in-person interview with a speaking and communication test.
Can I complete the placement remotely?
No, all placements are in-person at our London, Ontario office. Legal work requires hands-on experience with physical files, court attendance, and face-to-face client interaction.
